Here’s the hottest rumor of next iPhone that claims to be the back of the new 3G model. Sportin’ a glossy black finish, it seems as if the entire back panel is now plastic instead of metal. This would bode well for the influx of antennas Apple is rumored to have added. 850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz WCDMA, 802.11n, Bluetooth, etc. We’re not sure whether to believe this or not, but apparently the image above represents the upcoming. The bad thing we hear is that instead of using a metal, Apple may opt for the plastic case. That’s a plastic case with glossy black finish, but still, the material would make the iPhone less solid.
From what we know, the iPhone is “months away” but somehow we doubt Apple will reduce the built quality of one of its flagship products. The 8GB mark along with the rest of the text on the case indicates its not a ColorWare work. We’ll see where this goes…
